非常喜歡的一段話：圓規為什麼可以畫圓？

因為腳在走，心不變。為什麼不能圓夢？因為心不定，腳不動。

沒規劃的人叫拼圖，有規劃的人叫藍圖。

沒目標的人生叫流浪，有目標的人叫航行！

蜜蜂忙碌一生，卻是世界所有食物最重要的推手，

蚊子也整日奔波，但是人們認為是病媒，

多麼忙不重要，忙什麼才重要！

埋頭拉車的同時，還要懂得抬頭看著路走。

Et Verbum caro factum est

在二千多年前的白冷，「道成肉身，居我人間」的奧跡也是幾乎沒有人知道。一如若望的福音所言：「那普照每人的真光，正在進入這世界；衪已在世界上；世界原是藉衪造成的；但世界卻不認識衪。衪來到了自己的領域，自己的人卻沒有接受衪。」(若望福音 1:9-11)

創物主這不為人知的降生，卻永遠地改變了這世界。祂以苦難及死亡救贖了世界。祂沒有許諾痛苦消失，卻將痛苦給予意義。我們能夠透過自己的痛苦，結合主的救贖工程。我們未必能理解這說話，但我們卻能夠對此懷有望德。

1941年的12月25日，香港輸了保衞戰。經歷了3年8個月的苦難，香港像火鳥鳳凰般浴火重生。基督的出生沒有標記痛苦的終結，反而是祂痛苦的開端。我們不知道我們何時能夠克服現時的困境。但我們懷著對嬰孩耶穌的望德，我們將能夠分享祂帶來的福份。

有關韓國羅州聖母的異端性

相信大家周不時在網上或者部份教友口中提及到有關韓國羅州聖母 (Our Lady of Naju) 的顯現奇蹟，而有部份人表示韓國羅州聖母其實是異端，筆者經過深入的調查後，確實以上的顯現奇蹟其實是異端。

1985年6月30日，在韓國全羅南道錦城市經營美容院的38歲女子尹弘宣聲稱其床上的聖母像出現流了700日淚水、聖血和香油的奇蹟，主張是聖母瑪利亞和耶穌的啟示降臨，並因此創立天主教的新興宗教分支「瑪利亞的救援方舟」。

自2008年1月21日起，天主教光州總教區已將羅州聖母定性為異端，禁止該教會參與或負責光州總主教區管轄下的教堂內進行聖禮和任何儀式，任何參與羅州聖母有關活動的光州總教區的神職人員及信徒亦會受到有關懲罰及紀律處分，包括自科絕罰。

而梵蒂岡方面，信理部指出尹弘宣及其追隨者向信理部表達有奇蹟例子的信息似乎與真正的基督教教義完全無關，指出梵蒂岡「沒有計劃改變對羅州聖母事件的立場」的表示及准許光州總教區的決定，反映聖座與光州教區的立場一致。

Watch out for poor reasoning!

Poor reasoning may help you win an argument with a person who is not very smarty, but it won’t guide you into the truth. Try to avoid falling into the following six errors when you enter discussion:

1. Name calling. Anybody can call another person stupid. What we need to do is respond to the argument that is being made.
2. Sentimentalism. We need to be sensitive to how people feel but also be coherent. Try to take a step back and put the argument in more general terms. In that way you can see whether it makes logical sense or not.
3. Playing the psychologist. We should distinguish between how we arrived at a belief from the logical content of that belief.
4. Separating faith and science. There is no opposition between faith and reason as it is the same God who created the world and revealed Himself in Jesus Christ.
5. Fundamentalism. To understand a Biblical passage, you need to ask yourself what the author is trying to say. The Bible is not a science textbook, and it doesn’t pretend to be.
6. Invoking one’s conscience to ignore certain Church teachings. A believer must follow his conscience but must also form it for a Christian who presumes faith in the Word of God and love for the Church. The propositions of faith are not the product of individual research. To break the bond with the bishops who are successors to the Apostles, is to seriously compromise the bond with Christ.

信靠天主 Trust in God

在一場船難中，唯一的生存者隨著潮水，漂流到了一座無人島上。他天天激動地祈禱天主救他能夠早日離開此處，回到家鄉。他還每天注視著海上有否可搭救他的人，但卻是除了汪洋一片，什么也沒有。後來，他決定用那片帶他到小島的木頭造一個簡陋的小木屋以保護他在這險惡的環境中生存，並且保存他所有剩下的東西。

但有一天，在他捕完食物後，準備回小屋時，突然發現他的小屋竟然陷在熊熊烈火之中，大火引起的濃煙不斷向天上竄。最悲慘的是：他所有的一切東西，在這一瞬間，通通化為烏有了。悲痛的他，氣憤的對天吶喊著：「天主啊！你怎么可以這樣對待我！」頓時，眼淚從他的眼角中流出。

第二天一早，他被一艘正靠近小島的船隻的鳴笛聲所吵醒。是的，有人來救他了。到了船上時，他問那些船員說：「你怎麼知道我在這裡？」因為我們看到了信號般的濃煙。」他們回答說。

人在碰到困難時，很容易會沮喪。不過，無論受到折磨或者痛苦，都不用因此失去信心，因為天主一直在我們心裡面做著奇妙的工作。記住：當下一次你的小木屋著火時，那可能只是天主美妙恩典的表徵而已。在所有我們所認為負面的事情，天主都是有正面答案的。

The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him, and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming. Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect him from the elements, and to store his few possessions. 

But then one day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, the smoke rolling up to the sky. The worst had happened; everything was lost. He was stunned with grief and anger. "God how could you do this to me!" he cried.

Early the next day, however, he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue him. "How did you know I was here?" asked the weary man of his rescuers. "We saw your smoke signal," they replied.

It is easy to get discouraged when things are going bad. But we shouldn't lose heart, because God is at work in our lives, even in the midst of pain and suffering. Remember, next time your little hut is burning to the ground it just may be a smoke signal that summons the grace of God. For all the negative things we have to say to ourselves, God has a positive answer for it .

你會怎麼辦？

有一群小朋友在外面玩，而那個地方有兩條鐵軌，一條還在使用，一條已經停用，只有一個小朋友選擇在停用的鐵軌上玩，其他小朋友全都在仍在使用的鐵軌上玩。

很不巧的，火車來了，而且理所當然的在往上面有很多小孩的，仍在使用的鐵軌上行駛。而你正站在鐵軌的切換器旁，因此你能讓火車轉往停用的鐵軌。這樣的話，你就可以救了大多數的小朋友，但是那名在停用鐵軌上的小朋友將被犧牲。

你會怎麼辦？

據說大多數人會選擇救多一些的人，換句話說，犧牲那名在停用鐵軌上玩的小孩...

但是這又引出另一問題，那一名選擇停用鐵軌的小孩顯然是做出正確的決定，脫離了他的朋友而選擇了安全的地方，而他的朋友們則是無知的選擇在不該玩耍的地方玩。為什麼做出正確抉擇的人要為了大多數人的無知而犧牲呢？

我們常被教育要顧全大局，但公平嗎？

似乎當大家都做的理所當然的時候，我們就必須隨波逐流，否則就會被放逐，而不容於世，如漁父中那位老翁勸屈原所說的：「世人皆濁，何不淈其泥而揚其波？眾人皆醉，何不餔其糟而飲其醨？何故深思高舉，自令放為？」

當一個人太堅持自己是「對」的，最後的下場可能就是被犧牲的可憐鬼！又有誰會為他掬一把同情之淚？只會嘲笑他的愚蠢！

我們已經入了社會，學習的就是圓滑的做人，當你是主管，就像文章中那位切換軌道的人，內心的正義與現實衝突時，你會如何抉擇呢？難啊！

Don’t lie to your children about Santa Claus!

On 6th of December it seems fitting to bring up the subject of whether we should lie to our children about Santa Claus. 

Many Christian parents think that it’s perfectly acceptable to tell things to our children that are not true and pretend they are and somehow hope that they will believe us when we speak to them about God and His Church.

Although I’m still young, unmarried and without children, I remember very well when I was a little child, I always received a Christmas present from “Santa Claus”, but the present was given from my parents, not Santa Claus.

In the future, if I was married and have children, I’ll decided exceedingly early on to speak the truth about Santa Claus to my children. This doesn’t “ruin the magic of Christmas”, in fact, it brings them joy and wonder.

We do not lie to our children. We tell them the truth about Santa Claus.

Let’s stop telling the lie that Santa Claus isn’t real.

We tell our children that Santa Claus is real, that he loves Jesus and lives with Him in heaven and that we can ask him to pray for and with us all year round.
